Who is Phil Mickelsons wife? Know all about Amy Mickelson
One of the golfers with the most awards in the sport’s history is Phil Mickelson. The left-hander, who currently holds six Major championships, has 45 career PGA Tour victories, which places him ninth all time. At 50 years, 11 months, and 7 days old, he won the 2021 PGA Championship, making him the oldest Major Championship victor ever.
Since winning his first PGA Tour tournament in 1991, Phil has had one constant person in his life, and it was his wife Amy Mickelson, whom he met in 1992. The couple first met in 1992 while both were Arizona State University students. At the time, Amy was a cheerleader for the Phoenix Suns NBA cheerleading squad and Phil was a senior. “When he told me he was a pro golfer, I thought he worked in the shop at a golf course.”
Four years later, in 1996, the two got married, and they subsequently had three kids. The first, Amanda, was born the day after Phil lost to Payne Stewart at the 1999 US Open. Sophia was born in 2001, and Evan was welcomed to the family in 2003. Sadly, Amy tore an artery from birth complications, and Evan was briefly unable to breathe, but thankfully both survived.

Phil Mickelson and Amy Mickelson
Amy’s unfortunate breast cancer diagnosis in 2009 led Phil to temporarily halt his PGA Tour career. In 2010, when Phil would win his third Green Jacket at the Masters, she went back to see her husband play golf.
Amy overcame cancer after an 11-month battle and is now in good health. Amy has been actively involved in raising money for breast cancer research as a result of her experience with this terrible disease. ThePhil and Amy Mickelson Foundationwas founded by the couple in 2004 with the purpose of supporting families and youths via a range of programs.
Additionally, it has helped collect money for military causes. In 2019, The Mickelson Foundation was chosen to host The American Express PGA Tour tournament, joining Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, and Arnold Palmer as the only active PGA Tour players to do so. $1 million was raised for a local charity in the first year, which was a huge success.
