Boise's dog off-leash program begins at two city parks, runs through February
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Boise's dog off-leash program opened Sunday at two city parks and will run through the end of February.
Dogs can run off-leash at Ann Morrison Park and Optimist Youth Sports Complex in most areas from sunrise to sunset.
The Boise River Greenbelt paths, parking lots, roads and playgrounds arethe only places off-limits. Owners are reminded to please pick up after their pets.
"The seasonal off-leash program at Ann Morrison Park and Optimist Youth Sports Complex is intended to help prevent long-term damage and address public health and safety concerns caused by geese," the City said. "Fall is also a good time to obtain or renew an animal license for your pet."
